Aleksandra Svonja

Aleksandra Svonja is the founder and managing director of the production company Classica Nova, where she operates as a writer, director, and producer. Since its establishment to the present day, she has successfully created multiple TV series, documentary films, and a number of music and corporate videos. 

During 2022, Aleksandra Svonja's first two documentary films, "Sing to Celebrate Life" and "Diary of a Tennis Player", were showcased and received multiple awards at numerous festivals worldwide. In mid-2023, her film "The Art of Confession", for which Aleksandra served as the writer, director, and producer, premiered at the final of the film festival within the global conference Women Deliver.

She obtained a master’s degree from the prestigious Ivy League University College London (UCL) with outstanding grades. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science and Media Communications from Webster University. 

She has received more than 20 awards, among which the recent "Creators for the Century" award stands out. This award was presented to Classica Nova Productions in recognition of their contribution to entrepreneurship development in Central and Southeast Europe. Aleksandra's film "Diary of a Tennis Player" was awarded at the New York International Film Awards (NYIFA), Toronto International Women Film Festival, Golden Giraffe International Film Festival, and Your Way International Film Festival. Additionally, Aleksandra has received recognition from the city of Novi Sad on two occasions for her exceptional contributions to science and art.

Her music video "Redemption," which she directed, was selected as the Best Art in the International Film Festival in Tokyo. Additionally, a month later, it was declared the winner in the Best Music Video category at the international Gladiator Film Festival. 

She obtained an international certificate from London School of Public Relations (LSPR), public affairs diploma of British Institute for Public Relations (CIPR), certificate in Psychology of Popularity from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a diplomatic protocol certificate from the Center for Human Resources Development and Management (MNG). 

She is a member of the professional Association of Documentary Filmmakers of Serbia (DokSrbija), the Association of Business Women of Serbia, and the international professional organization Film Fatales.

She speaks Serbian, English, Spanish and Russian.
